Which type of EPROM card is it? It could be a number of things...

a) The edge connector on the EPROM card is dirty or corroded
b) The internal EPROM itself has come to the end of its useful life or is corrupted
c) Damage to the internal pins on the Z88 which read the EPROM cards
d) You need to do a hard reset after inserting the EPROM.

Dear RWAP,

Thank you for your Reply. The Eprom card is an original Cambridge Z88 32K from 1987. I've tried a hard reset but the card doesn't register. The port is working fine when I insert another card. I have even tried to wipe the memory using a UV lamp but to no avail. Is there a software program that can check if the card is not broken?

Also, I have bought the Z88 on the internet and received an PC Link card with software on a floppy disk. Sadly enough, the Floppy disk is not formatted... Is there a way to obtain the PC. Link program for MSDOS?

Thank you & Have a nice day!
